The Black Stars have been handed a Round 32 clash against Colombia following their 1-2 defeat to Croatia.
That defeat plunged Ghana from second to third place in Group L.
The South Americans, on the other hand, secured top spot in Group K after holding Portugal to a goalless draw later in the day.
That additional point took them to 7 points in the group with Portugal finishing on 5 points in second position.
While the table’s top side get Ghana in the Round of 32, Portugal and Croatia will slug it out.
England, who topped Group L, will next play DR Congo for a place in the Round of 16.
Ghana’s game against Colombia will be, played on Saturday dawn at Kansas City Stadium.
