Black Stars Head Coach Carlos Queiroz has revealed that Spartak Moscow defender Alexander Djiku has been placed in the Black Stars.
“We have to make a decision and replace [Alexander] Djiku and it doesn’t matter which player I call,” the Portuguese told journalists at the Cardiff City Stadium on Monday.
The former Fenerbahce defender is said to have picked up an injury in camp.
This leaves Queiroz with a few center backs to work with after Mohammed Salisu suffered an ACL earlier in the year.
“Now, we are going to have triple center backs in camp and you saw them play.”
He has, however, assured fans that the team is ready for the mundial.
Ghana will battle Wales in what could be their final preparatory game on Tuesday, June 2 before travelling to North America for the tournament.
They will begin their campaign on Wednesday, June 17 against Panama in Toronto before later taking on England and Croatia.
