Some musicians are clearly not enthused about Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour)’s decision to contest and become a member of Ghana’s parliament.
The musicians, including Criss Waddle and D-Black, believe that the former President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is not ‘clean’ to go into parliament.
Obour is currently hoping to win the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries to represent the party as it’s parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akyem South constituency in the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
But Criss Waddle reacting to Obour’s campaign poster urged people not to vote for him.
He said “Pls don’t VOTE for this Guy,he’s a waste of time and a selfish person 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 stomach Politician.”
Musician Worlasi also commenting on the poster shared by a fan alleged that the former MUSIGA president is going into politics because of money.
“The man wan eat allow 😂😂😂😂 the money all Dey politics 💰… he has seen the light 💡,” he said.
Rapper D-Black, who has for several years been a strong critic of Obour’s administration, also reacting to Criss Waddle’s post on Twitter urged the former MUSIGA president to account for his stewardship as president of the musicians’ body.
“Until he accounts for his time at Musiga and how the finances of Musiga were managed and benefited the ‘Musicians of Ghana’ positively, I agree with u 100% percent !!! Very disappointed in how his administration steered the affairs of Of Music Body. Selfish Greedy Unaccountable,” he said.
Obour is yet to react to their criticisms.
