Two military officers were injured on Tuesday, August 25 during a dispute over land issues in Obuom Domeabra in the Greater Accra Region.
Five cars were burnt with two other civilians also sustaining injuries after some youth of the community clashed with the security personnel.
The Chief of the Obuom Traditional Area, Nii Kakpo Amartey, called on the government to intervene to find a lasting solution to the problem.
“I want the government to ensure that there is peace in this area,” he told journalists.
The Municipal Chief Executive of the area, Joseph Nyanin Tetteh, who also visited the scene, condemned the action by the youth.
Reinforcement of military personnel have been deployed to the area to restore calm.
