The three kidnapped girls[/caption] Families of the Takoradi kidnapped girls want the Ghana Police Service to back off from the false hope it has been giving them as they call out the security agency’s lackadaisical attitude in finding the missing girls. The families at a press conference in Accra on Monday accused the police of constantly raising their hope, and when they buy into them, the same police ends up ruing them. The three girls were kidnapped in the Western regional capital, Takoradi late last year. The first victim,  Priscilla Bentum was Kidnapped in August 2018 before the two others, Priscilla Mantebea Koranchie and Ruth Love Quayson followed respectively in December 2018. The Director of Police CID, DCOP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah told the media in April this year that, “together with the BNI, we’ve worked very well and currently we know where the girls are… [they] are safe.” She promised the girls would be united with their families but this has yet to be made possible even after three months. Read: We know where the 3 kidnapped girls are; they’re safe – Police CID reveals “The Ghana Police Service and  Government officials should stop raising our hopes and later come to dash them as have been the case all these while. They should also stop the false reportage to you the media about the case,” the families reacted. The families said they were “surprised” and “shocked” the seriousness the Ghana police service cum National Security attached to the rescue of two Canadian girls in June just a week after their kidnap. They asked, “why can’t the same security agencies in the country use that ‘Usain bolt’ speed to bring back our girls?” The families also want the Authorities to investigate who allegedly aided Samuel Wills the first suspect to escape from the Takoradi Central Police Station as he stated when he was rearrested. “We are calling on all our statesmen, the present and past presidents of Ghana, the Christian counsel of Ghana, the Muslim community, civil Society Groups and the diplomatic missions to intervene for us because the desperation and the perplexity are simply weighing us down not to talk of the toll being taken on us by the deafening silence of the government and our security Agencies “We know God will do it, but he does it through human being but our fear is when the human being is not ready to be used”.
