Boss of Media Excel, Kwesi Ernest has warned churches and pastors who want to engage gospel musicians to be ready to pay or else use their church choir for all their church events.
There have been lots of allegations against pastors, churches who invite gospel musicians for church events of not paying well and sometimes nothing at all.
One gospel musician who shared his story with Christian Agyei Frimpong host of Onua 95.1 FM entertainment talk show Anigye Mmre is SP Kofi Sarpong.
According to him, a pastor invited him for a church event and after the program the man of God gave him and his musicians meat pie.
According to the gospel musician who doubles as a police officer, the pastor kept him waiting for hours before attending to him and His instrumentalist with the snack and that was all.
Kwesi Ernest who joined the discussion narrated how bad some pastors treat gospel musicians anytime they engage their service.
“As for me I want to tell the pastors if they can’t pay for the services gospel musicians render to them during their church programs, they should let their church choir sing for them,” Kwesi Ernest asserted.
“One thing Pastors don’t want to hear is when a gospel musician tells them to talk to their managers before they can accept their invitation to sing at their church programs,” he added.
