Business owners as well as small and medium enterprises so far registered to participate in the upcoming biggest trade fair in Takoradi say they are optimistic of great sales as that has become a trademark of the event.
The event is dubbed ‘Western Trade Fair’.
The Western Trade Fair, a bi-annual fair, is designed to help bring businesses into direct contact with their target consumers on a single platform.
The event, which is organized by Media General’s Takoradi-based radio station, Connect FM, has so far provided the avenue for SMEs to showcase their products thereby providing customers a one-stop shop to get their favourite goods and services at affordable prices.
The five-day event is expected to start from Wednesday, September 30 and end on Sunday, October 4 at the forecourt of the very popular Takoradi Mall.
Products expected to be showcased during the fair includes handicrafts, traditional wear, baby products, among several others.
Vendors who have so far registered ahead of the event include Sally’s Akwaaba boutique, Yesli Ice, Royal Spark, Blaks’ Collection, Joyful Juice, Frankline Zoe, J.L Danquah Herbal Clinic, Dugbakie, Pop Corn Basic among others and they are all optimistic of another successful Fair to rejuvenate their businesses, which have been battered by Covid-19.
Station Manager for Connect FM Ransford Nana Osei Asare said the 2020 event is an opportunity for traders to reposition themselves back into the market after several months of coronavirus.
“Businesses have been affected and we feel that people who have invested, for that matter, vendors have to come and revamp themselves and to reestablish contact with both old and new clients to rebuild their markets following the slowdown of businesses by Covid-19.”
The side attraction of the Western Trade Fair includes live streaming on social media and adverts on all Media General platforms.
