John Boadu, Adenta Kumi & Mustapha Hamid get No. 1 positions after balloting

Balloting for New Patriotic Party’s national executive elections has been held.

In all, 47 candidates were cleared after vetting to qualify for the polls, scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 3.

After the exercise held at the party’s head office in Accra on Wednesday, September 9, former National Organiser and General Secretary John Boadu picked the Number 1 position for the National Chairmanship race.

Former Vice Chairman Sammy Crabbe picked No. 2 while former Chairman Paul Afoko and former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko picked Nos. 3 and 4 respectively.

While former Information Minister Mustapha Hamid picked the No. 1 position for the Vice Chairmanship race, former Ngleshie-Amanfro Member of Parliament (MP) Sylvester Tetteh got that position for the General Secretary race.

Hajia Ruka Ahmed got the No. 1 position for the National Treasurer race.

For the National Women’s Organiser contest, Hajia Safia Mohammed beat Mavis Hawa Koomson to the No. 1 position on the ballot paper.

Alfred Kumi Ababio, popularly known as Adenta Kumi, got that for the National Youth Organiser race while Ing. Kwame Prempeh got that for the National Organiser race.

Aide to flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia Dennis Miracles Aboagye will go unopposed for the National Communications Officer position, becoming the only candidate without a competitor.

Alhaji Ali Suraj will be atop the ballot for the Nasara Coordinator race.
