An Accra High Court has granted bail to the founder of the defunct UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng and five others facing trial for the collapse of the bank. The six accused have, among other offences, been charged with fraudulent breach of trust, deceit of a public officer and fabrication of evidence. The first accused, Johnson Pandit Asiama was served with a 60 million self recognisance bail. The fifth accused, Catherine Johnson, also secured a bail of 20 million cedis with two sureties. The rest of the accused Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Raymond Amanfu, UT Holdings Limited, Robert Kwesi Armah, were given the bail in the tune of 60 million cedis with two sureties to be justified.
