We expect nothing more than when to receive our funds – Menzgold customers to NAM1

The Coalition of Aggrieved Menzgold Customers say they expect nothing more than how and when their investments would be refunded as the Chief Executive Officer of Menzgold speaks to the press on Monday.

The CEO of the troubled gold dealership firm, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1, in a tweet on Wednesday assured that he will provide “final practical resolutions” to all challenges confronting his companies.

“I will address the press on the 19th August,19, regarding the state of affairs of our companies, with final practical resolutions to all pending teasing matters, geared towards a highly possible rebound soon. Stay tuned to Zylofon fm & tv for updates.#GhanaShallProsper?” he posted.

But the information communicated via social media did not gone down well with the customers, who said he should have been formal with that after their monies have been locked up in his firms for almost a year.

Chairman of the Coalition of Aggrieved Menzgold Customers, Timothy Binob, told host of Onua FM’s Yen Sempa Bright Kwasi Asempa on Thursday “we have one expectation and that is, we need our money”.

He asserted, “he should not come and tell us any different thing. We invested in his company.  It would have been a year next month so we should have celebrated one year anniversary but we are in sad mood”.

The Chairman said “we only hope he will tell us definite date and time he will give us our money because lives have been lost due to the NAM1 issue”.

No formal communication

Mr. Binob explained that executives of the aggrieved customers have made frantic efforts to meet with NAM1 after he was released to at least, have a word with him, but they have all proven futile.

“We expected the announcement to be formal instead of tweeting on social media. We have waited for so long so we need to be recognized…we are not happy. We expect it to be formal so that we will know that he has the costumers at heart”.

Lost of lives

The Chairman revealed that several customers died as a result of their inability to have access to their funds.

“We have twenty three people on our record who have lost their lives due to the NAM1 issue”, he said.
