
The police have arrested three suspects in connection with the shooting near the Liberia refugees’ camp on Wednesday afternoon.
The three suspects; Ibrahim Zakaria, Issac Amissah and Dominic Commey were arrested a few hours after the incident.
They are currently assisting the police in further investigations.
The shooting left one officer dead on the spot with another later dying at the Police Hospital in Accra.
The two officers; Chief Inspector Quansah and General Sergeant Michael Gyamasi were stationed at the Kasoa Motor Transport and Traffic Department (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service.
“The vehicle, an unregistered Toyota Camry has also been retrieved together with some relevant articles,” the police said in a brief a few hours later.
The police have urged the public to provide information “to help weed out criminals in our society”.
Both officers stationed at Kasoa MTTD have been confirmed dead. The public is encouraged to remain calm and provide information to help weed out criminals in our society.
