The General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has taken a swipe at the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), saying even if given 100 years in power, the opposition party cannot match what his party has done in the past three years in terms of achievements.
He said the NPP is readying a “dashboard of manifesto promises and achievements” to let Ghanaians appreciate their achievements in the last three years.
Mr Boadu was speaking on Wednesday, May 20 in the ‘temperature seat’ on 100 Degrees on Onua TV.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is said to have ridden on several promises to win power in 2016.
Some of the promises like a factory in each district in the country have not been fulfilled.
But JB, as the NPP General Secretary is affectionately called, said his party realised there were basic needs of some of the districts.
He said by what is on the grounds, some districts have benefitted from more projects than others despite promising each equal projects.
He said NPP’s dashboard of promises and achievements will have a category tagged ‘Manifesto Plus’, which will list all achievements chalked but not promised.
“There are some of the projects in gestation period,” he observed, promising that they will be ready in due course.
For him, the Akufo-Addo-led government has done far better than the NDC.
“What we have done within three-and-half years, if you compare it to NDC’s 100 years in power, they won’t near us in anyway.”
