President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has finally responded to years of calls on him to make changes to his executives as he announced a major shake up in his ministerial appointments.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, who about 100 Members of Parliament from the governing New Patriotic Party mounted pressure on the president to reshuffle would no longer be in government.

A list released by the presidency on Wednesday, February 14 named a number of ministers including that of Gender, Health, Roads and Highways, Local Government and Tourism as casualties.

Some deputy ministers also exited government.

The release signed by Eugene Arhin, Director of Communications at the Office of the President said the named ministers and deputy ministers were relieved of their portfolios in government with immediate effect.

“The President personally expressed his sincere appreciation directly to each of the Ministers and Deputy Ministers, who have exited Government, for their commitment, competence, dedication and hard work in office, which helped in the realization of Government’s mandate to the Ghanaian people over the last seven (7) years, and wished each of them well in their future endeavours,” the statement said.

Find below those exiting and the new entrants.
