The final is set as Opoku Ware School secured the last ticket to the final of the 2025 National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
The semi-final clashes began on Monday with defending champions Mfantsipim School dispatching GSTS and Mankranso SH to book another shot at winning the title.
They won the contest with 42 points against 23 points and 15 points for GSTS and Mankranso SHS respectively.
The second semi-final contest saw Pope John’s SHS and Minor Seminary give up a Round 1-to-Round 3 lead for St Augustine’s College to snap up the victory.
Augusco won it with 46 points, eight more that Pojoss’ and Amaniampong SHS’.
The third and final semi-final clash would have a school from a region other than the Central Region in the final as Opoku Ware, from Ashanti Region, went face-to-face with Achimota School, from the Greater Accra Region, and St Peter’s SHS, from the Eastern Region.
With a total of 48 points, the highest in the semis, Opoku Ware won to book their place in the final, which is scheduled for Thursday, November 6 at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
