A scheduled case management conference on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2025, was adjourned after the defense requested more time to review newly served prosecution disclosures. Defense counsel Andy Appiah-Kubi said the additional documents prompted the need for extra preparation.
During the hearing, the court sought clarification on the number of witnesses. Prosecutors initially indicated five witnesses would testify but later confirmed four after the defense noted it had received only four statements.
Justice Audrey Kocuvie-Tay adjourned the matter to Nov. 27 for the next case management conference.
Appiah-Kubi told reporters the defense welcomed the adjournment and expressed confidence that Wontumi would be vindicated when the trial begins.
