The Board of Inquiry investigating the circumstances that led to the deadly stampede at the El Wak Sports Stadium has constituted a new recruiting team for the Greater Accra Region.

This, according to a statement from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), is to allow for fair and transparent investigations.

Commodore F.A. Nyarko has been appointed the Director General in charge of Human Resources.

Colonel F. Kusi Darko has been appointed the Director for Manpower while Colonel G.B. Eduah has been appointed Director for Information Technology.

GAF reiterated its desire to ensure that persons found culpable are sanctioned accordingly.

The stampede led to a suspension of the exercise in the Greater Accra Region.

Six lives were lost an several others were injured.

The exercise is expected to resume on Thursday, November 20.
