HRH The Duke of Edinburgh received a warm welcome at Presbyterian Women’s College of Education and Kindergarten, where trainee teachers showcased play-based learning methods.
He later toured the Aburi Botanical Gardens and met companies driving innovation in Ghana’s chocolate sector.


Discussions focused on UK–Ghana cooperation to advance environmentally responsible cocoa production and strengthen local livelihoods.


The visit ended with a symbolic tree-planting ceremony alongside the Aburihene, near one planted by Queen Elizabeth II.
