The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddie Adams on Tuesday, November 25 inaugurated a nine-member Ministerial Advisory Board to support the Ministry’s policy direction and national sports development agenda.
Speaking at the ceremony in Accra, Mr. Adams said the board will not be a symbolic group but an active body expected to offer strategic input across key areas including youth development, governance, and inclusive sports growth.
He also revealed that the Sports Development Fund is being finalised and will soon be presented to Parliament to provide long-term financing for infrastructure and grassroots development.
The board draws from government, the private sector, and civil society, including sports legend Abedi Ayew Pele.

The Minister expressed confidence in the board’s composition and urged members to contribute bold ideas that reflect Ghana’s ambition to become a leader in sports and recreation on the continent.He also assured the board of his full support and promised that all practical recommendations would be considered as part of the Ministry’s reform and delivery agenda.
