A civilian employee at Burma Camp has been found murdered and dismembered in Sokode-Juaso in the Abuakwa North Municipality, police said.
The victim, Samuel Yeboah, an electrician, had reportedly gone to confront Kofi Bati over an iPhone 6 his sister asked Bati to sell. Bati allegedly failed to return the phone or the money.
Police say Bati’s father, Kwesi Bati, a hunter, shot Yeboah after an argument, dismembered the body and dumped parts in a river. Yeboah was missing for 11 days before the suspect’s wife, who witnessed the killing, alerted authorities.
Officers later recovered the decayed remains, with body parts buried at multiple sites. Residents burned the suspect’s house and shrine. Kwesi Bati is in custody while his son remains on the run.
