The Cyber Security Authority (CSA), working with National Security operatives, has arrested 32 Nigerian nationals in a coordinated early morning operation at Kasoa–Tuba, dealing a significant blow to suspected cybercrime networks.
The dawn raid led to the seizure of 31 laptops and 15 mobile phones believed to have been used in cyber-related criminal activities, including an alleged romance scam syndicate operating from the area. The suspects are currently in custody assisting investigators, while the seized electronic devices are undergoing detailed forensic analysis.
Officials said the operation forms part of sustained national efforts to clamp down on cybercrime and protect Ghana’s digital space from exploitation by criminal networks. The joint action, they noted, reflects growing collaboration among security agencies to identify, disrupt and dismantle organised cybercrime rings.

The CSA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with National Security and other law enforcement bodies to strengthen cyber resilience and ensure accountability for offenders. Authorities stressed that Ghana will not be allowed to become a safe haven for cybercriminals targeting victims locally or abroad.
The Authority also urged the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious online activities through approved reporting channels, adding that public cooperation remains critical to the fight against cybercrime nationwide.
