Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko were winners on Matchday 14 of the 2025/26 season, securing 1-0 home wins to go level on 24 points apiece.
The Phobians played host to in-form Nations FC on Saturday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium while the Porcupine Warriors hosted Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
After a goalless first half in the Legon game, Head Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani rang the changes, bringing on Mawuli Wayo and George Paaku after 10 minutes of play in the second.
That substitution paid dividends as Paaku delivered a cross into the penalty area of Nations FC later, to find Hamza Issah who headed home from close range.
The win temporarily took Hearts to 3rd.
That position was, however, taken over by archrivals Asante Kotoko, who also had to wait till the 80th minute to score the only goal of the game.
Substitute Kwame Opoku won the match for the Porcupine Warriors tapping in a freekick from close range.
The win took Kotoko to 3rd, just 3 points behind league leaders Aduana FC.
