Coronavirus cases in Ghana have gone up to 12,929 after 339 new cases were announced Thursday by the Ghana Health Service.
The new cases were recorded in 9 regions with the Greater Accra leading with 154 cases, followed by Western Region with 58 cases and Ashanti with 41 cases.
Central Region recorded 38 of the new cases while Eastern Region had 15 cases, Volta Region with 13 cases and Bono East Region with nine cases.
The Northern Region had nine cases and the Savannah recorded two cases.
No additional deaths have been recorded in the latest update while the number of covid-19 patients in critical condition went up by 1 to bring the total to 14.
Coronavirus casualties still stand at 66
Four of the critically ill people are currently on ventilators, Director of Public Health Dr Patrick Sarkodie announced.
The number of recoveries, he said, increased from 4,410 to 4,468.
Dr Badu Sarkodie said Ghana has so far conducted 261,319 covid-19 tests, pegging the positivity rate at of 4.95.
