New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Obuasi West Constituency Kwaku Kwarteng has urged members of the opposition party and Ghanaians in general to accept the temperament of Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
The former Deputy Finance Minister argues that the NPP flagbearer aspirant may have his bad side but his ruthlessness is what Ghana needs to develop at this moment.
“If he can fix the problem and create jobs for our youth, I would rather have such a leader than to say that I want a calm, temperamental person who is timid in the face of problems,” he indicated on Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana on Thursday, January 22.
The former Chairman of the Finance Committee in Parliament also stressed that Ghanaians should stop asking the former Assin Central MP to calm down.
“For Christ’s sake, let’s be careful the way we tell the man to calm down.
“If he calms down beyond a certain point, he will just become like the other politicians, get into government and scratch the surface of problems.”
Kwaku Kwarteng expressed utmost confidence that Ken Agyapong will win the January 31 primaries of the NPP.
