Four more persons have died of Covid-19 in Ghana, taking the total number of deaths to 70.
All four cases – three males and one female – were recorded in the Ashanti Region.
They are between the ages of 64 and 80.
The oldest did not have any underlying health condition.
These were put out by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) in its latest update on Friday, June 19.
The total case count, according to the Service, as of Wednesday, June 17 is 13,203.
Exactly 4,548 persons have recovered since then.
The country is currently managing 8,585 cases with 22 said to be in “severe” conditions and six in “critical” conditions. All but one of the “critical” patients are on ventilators.
After exactly a 100 days since the disease was first recorded in the country, June has seen an averagely high number of cases.
