The University of Cape Coast (UCC) has confirmed the death of Senior Lecturer Dr Kwabena Koforobour Agyemang and his Teaching Assistant (TA), Peter Amoadu-Asmah, following a tragic road crash on Tuesday, April 28.
The tragic accident occurred at Third Ridge on the Cape Coast-Accra highway, where a tipper truck is said to have fallen on the Toyota Corolla vehicle the two were travelling in.
In a press release issued after the unfortunate incident, management of UCC described Dr Koforobour Agyemang as a highly respected member of the university community known for his dedication to teaching, research and service.
“His invaluable contributions and presence will be deeply missed by colleagues, students, and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.”
His TA was described as distinguishing himself academically as the overall best graduating student of the Department of Geography and Regional Planning.
Management expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
