The newly-elected Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Greater Accra Region, Dr. Bernard Okoe–Boye, has promised a rigorous campaign in 2028 to get Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia elected.
“We are going to walk 12 hours a day,” he said.
“We are going to run a 24-hour campaign not what the NDC is promising.”
He was speaking to journalists after a landslide victory in the NPP regional elections on Saturday, August 15.
The former Minister of Health polled 488 votes to beat Alfred Boye to the position.
He admitted that the task is arduous but he will not lose sight on how it can be done.
“I know it is a very heavy task but I also know how it can be done,” he emphasised.
He said he is poised to ensure that the youth have every opportunity to make it and that can only be done with the election of Dr. Bawumia.
“I have the belief what is left is the hard work and everybody can testify I am not a lazy politician.”
