The Management of SIC Insurance PLC on Tuesday May 20,  held a strategic meeting with the Agents Association of SIC Insurance PLC (ASICA) at the National Insurance Commission (NIC) headquarters in Accra.

The engagement aimed to honour the dedication of its agents, address key operational concerns, and chart new pathways for collaboration and sustainable growth.

The well-attended meeting brought together agents from across the country, reflecting their strong commitment to the SIC Insurance brand. The gathering also served as a platform for open dialogue between management and the agency force, which has been instrumental in the company’s success.

In his welcome remarks, President of ASICA, Fred Kakra Wilson, congratulated Mr James Agyenim-Boateng on his recent appointment as Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC.

He noted that Mr.Agyenim-Boateng’s leadership, had rekindled hope among agents and reinforced confidence in the company’s direction.

Mr Wilson, underscored the vital role agents play in driving premium generation for the company and expressed optimism that management would continue to support their efforts to exceed production targets in 2025.

Responding to the goodwill message, Mr James Agyenim-Boateng, Acting Managing Director of SIC Insurance PLC, expressed appreciation to ASICA members for their dedication and loyalty.

He revealed that some agents have served the company for over five decades, a testament to their steadfast commitment to the brand.

“Our agency force laid the foundation of SIC Insurance over six decades ago, and the formation of ASICA in 1989 marks a critical milestone in our journey. You are the backbone of our company,” Mr Agyenim-Boateng said.

He pledged to work closely with ASICA leadership to enhance training programmes aimed at equipping agents with the skills needed to manage portfolios and grow their businesses. He also promised to introduce a competitive rewards system to recognise outstanding performance.

The Managing Director of SIC, further emphasized the need to streamline operational processes to improve efficiency in agents’ work.

He assured the agents of his commitment to maintaining open lines of communication, allowing for feedback and suggestions that will inform management’s strategies.

“As management, we are committed to growth, innovation, and excellence,” he stated. “My vision is to build a future where we not only meet but surpass our targets. We want our agents to feel empowered through access to the best tools, training, and incentives to excel in today’s competitive market.”

He urged ASICA members to remain ambassadors of trust and professionalism, reinforcing the SIC Insurance brand in the eyes of the public.

“We are not just selling insurance policies; we are helping people rebuild their lives after loss, supporting businesses in overcoming setbacks, and giving society the confidence to move forward,” Mr Agyenim-Boateng added.

The meeting concluded on a note of renewed commitment, with both management and agents pledging to work in unity to drive the next phase of growth for SIC Insurance PLC.
