Accra’s most thriving radio station, 3FM – 92.7 is a year old and within this short period, listeners – both home and abroad are asking for more of the quality content and professional delivery.
3FM, a member of the Media General Group was launched on January 21, 2016 and has been the alternative source of credible, accurate and timeous content delivered with soothing and great tunes for all audience.
In a statement about the first anniversary of the company, Head of Station, Petra Asamoah said “in the coming year, we hope to sustain our grounds and extend our reach to not just our news sources but seek growth with our business partners and associates”.

3FM 92.7, a member of the Media General Group is one year old. Launched on January 21, 2016, 3FM 92.7 has emerged as one of the major radio brands in Accra and beyond.
The station which prides itself as the heartbeat of news and current affairs in Ghana over the period has been the source of alternative choice for listeners who for years craved for an unbiased, professional source of news and information.
3FM is also the source of contemporary music, vibrant, insightful and progressive and aims to provide content that adds value to the lives of our listeners.
Petra Aba Asamoah, Head of Station excited about the anniversary said: 3FM is community focused and acts as a torch bearer for issues that affect our listeners, working to bring change and solutions to their situations.
“In the coming year, we hope to sustain our grounds and extend our reach to not just our news sources but seek growth with our business partners and associates”.
She stressed that the station will continue to be driven by its core values of objectivity and progress.
“3FM joined the airwaves at a very critical period leading to the 2016 General Elections, and carved a respectable niche for itself as the Election Command Centre leading not just information on election results, but in-depth analysis and discussion”, Lois Kissiedu, Programme Manager noted in an interview.
“3FM rose up to the occasion proving to be the major factor in contributing to the development of Ghana’s democracy. WE are keen on this and will ensure that we bring this experience to what we do this year,” she added.
