Two people are in the custody of the Suhum District Police Command on suspicion of possessing human parts.
They were arrested at Densuso a suburb of the Suhum Municipality in the Eastern region upon a tip off.
Akakpo Kwame, 26, and Daniel Larbi,18, allegedly went to a fetish priest at Densuso on Sunday to sell what is suspected to be human parts.
According to the priest, when they told him that they have the right hand bone of a human being to sell to him, he was alarmed.
He told them to sit and wait for him while he finds money to pay them. He however ostensibly to look for the money, but he rather called the Odikro (chief) of the town, Baffour Adu Ameyaw to inform him about the intention of the men.
The priest then called to inform the police about the two after which the police proceeded to effect their arrest, said the Suhum District Police Commander, DSP Yaaya Musheratu who confirmed the arrest to Joy News correspondent Maxwell Kudakor.
Police have been tight-lipped about where the two got the part from or whether they would be processed for court tomorrow. Investigations are ongoing, the police said.
