Former Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram, Enoch Teye Mensah says he supports the initiative of government to make Senior High School education free for all Ghanaians.
Speaking on 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise, the veteran politician said that, “I will go for Free SHS. We have oil etc. We must find the money, we can find… When Nkrumah didn’t have oil, he gave us Free SHS. So, for that one, I support it 100 percent”.
He told the host of Sunrise, Winston Amoah that Ghana owes its greatness among the global community to the Free Education policy initiated by the country’s first President Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
He added that Nkrumah didn’t care about one’s political colour or background in the implementation of his free education program, for which reason Ghana could readily find skilled workmen from all walks of life.
