The maiden edition of the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA took place at the Florence Gould Hall Theater in New York (USA) on Saturday, May 20 and awarded musicians and people playing significant roles in the entertainment and media industry.
Award-winning and evergreen Dancehall/Reggae star, Samini, and the beautiful goddess Haillie, were hosts of the event.
The night saw performances from BP (Bright formerly of Buk Bak and Promzy formerly of VIP), EL, Efya, and many others.
The maiden event awarded people in sports, music, film, radio and TV.
Medikal bagged the Best New Act award whiles Kofi Kinaata picked up Best Hiplife with Shatta Wale winning Best Entertainer.
Stonebwoy took Best Male Act with Efya winning Best Female Act and Omar Sterling picked up Best Hiplife/Rap Act with many others winning awards on the night.
