Well, according to Dr. Thomas Anabah, a medical director at the Ridge hospital in Accra, donating your blood helps in replenishing your system by producing new blood cells that boost your immune system.
Dr Anabah explained that those suffering from hemophilia, anemia, cancer as well as some accident victims and pregnant women among other patients, require blood to survive.
So if you are not in the habit of donating your blood, don’t worry because TV3 is giving you that opportunity in this month of love to so on February 18.
The annual blood donation exercise by TV3 seeks to encourage people to donate blood to help stock the country’s national blood bank to save lives.
