Premier League Champions Aduana Stars have lifted the first trophy of the 2017/2018 football season after defeating Asante Kotoko by a lone goal in the Super Cup in Obuasi.
The Super Cup, the traditional season opener, pits the league champions against winners of the MTN FA Cup, and Aduana proved their might against the Porcupine Warriors.
Bright Adjei scored the only goal of the match in the 64th minute to ensure Aduana took the giant trophy to Dormaa.
With the Super Cup over, all is now set for the resuscitated Gala competition, which kicks off next weekend in Elmina.
The league season will kick off the weekend after the Gala.
