WBO Super Bantamweight champion Isaac Dogboe has received a congratulatory message from President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
This comes barely a day after Dogboe knocked out Japanese Hidenori Otake to successfully defend the coveted title he won from American Jessie Magdaleno.
The bout over the weekend did not travel beyond the first round as the youngster punched the 37-year-old into heavy dizziness.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, Ghana’s president congratulated Isaac Dogboe nicknamed the Royal Storm.
President Akufo-Addo stated that Ghana is indeed proud of him “and wish him the very best of luck in the future”.
