One person has been confirmed dead and four are in critical condition after an accident involving some members of the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) in Obuasi. Black Queens have lost the 2025 CAF National Women’s Team of the Year Award to ten-time African champions Nigeria. The Awards were announced on Wednesday, November 19 during the 2025 CAF Awards at the Mohamed VI Polytechnic University in Rabat, Morocco. The Black Queens had made the shortlist from an initial 10-nation nominees. Their run-up to winning Bronze at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Morocco earned them nomination. The Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP) has urged the public to disregard any publications to the effect that the red notice put out by Interpol regarding former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta no longer holds. The Community Court of Justice in Abuja, Nigeria has dismissed preliminary objections filed by Ghana, challenging its jurisdiction to hear and determine the legality of the suspension of Justice Getrude Araba Sackey Torkornoo as Justice of the Supreme Court.
