All companies intending to hold virtual annual general meetings (AGMs) are expected by the Companies Act 2019 (Act 992) to notify the Registrar-General first. After confirming Ghana’s total case count at 5,408 on Wednesday, the Ghana Health Service (GHS) says 122 more persons have been infected with the deadly coronavirus disease. The Head of Public Health of the Service, Dr Badu Sarkodie, announced on Thursday, May 14 at the Ministry of Information’s bi-weekly press update that the total number of infections has risen to 5,530. The Ghana Maritime Authority in collaboration with the Marine Police and the Western Naval Command has arrested eight persons suspected to be engaged in illegal oil bunkering along the coast of the Western Region. They were arrested by a patrol team on Wednesday dawn while returning to their base after their daily routine. Lesotho has confirmed its first case of coronavirus – becoming the last country in Africa to record the virus. The mountain kingdom is completely surrounded by South Africa, which has 11,350 cases of Covid-19, the respiratory illness caused by coronavirus. The single case resulted from tests done on 81 travellers from South Africa and Saudi Arabia, the health ministry said in a statement.
