The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has adjourned the verdict on the case between Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer and the Ghana Football Association (GFA). Osei Palmer was disqualified from the GFA presidential elections by the then governing body of Ghana football, the Normalisation Committee, shortly before the polls. The Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC) has rejected claims that it is using old biometric voter registration (BVR) kits in the ongoing voter registration exercise across the country. For the first time in a while, Ghana has recorded a reduction in the new number of cases of Covid-19. The latest update by the Disease Surveillance Department of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) released on Thursday, July 16 sees the country report 178 new cases.
