Thirty-two members of staff at the Tamale Teaching Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19. The number comprised 19 doctors, 12 nurses and one orderly. Ghana’s Covid-19 cases have now hit 22,822. This is as a result of 854 new cases confirmed by the Ghana Health Service in its periodic update on Wednesday, July 8. Worryingly, recoveries-cum-discharges have slowed, triggering a rise in the number of active cases under management and care. From 17,156, the recoveries/discharges are now 17,564. This has seen a sharp rise in the active cases, from 4,683 at the last count to 5,129.
