The Koforidua Diocesan Priests Association of the Roman Catholic Church-Ghana has donated medical supplies and PPEs to 15 Catholic health facilities operating under the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG). The items are to support the health care systems and personnel in dire need of these supplies in the fight against Covid-19. Three out of the 15 facilities are managing Covid-19 cases already. The Gambia has demanded a “credible” investigation after the son of a diplomat was shot dead by US police. Thirty-nine-year-old Momodou Lamin Sisay was shot after a car chase in Georgia on Friday morning, according to the preliminary investigation by Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI). The Eastern Regional Health Director, Dr. Alberta Twum-Nyarko, has officially declared all 70 staff of the Afcons Camp B who were working on the Tema-Mpakadan Railway fully recovered from Covid-19. Work on the railway is expected to re-start soon. Work on the project by Afcons came to a halt when Eastern Region’s first case count of the virus began from Camp B residential site. The Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Kofi Dzamesi, has issued further directives pursuant to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s announcement that religious services can restart from Friday, June 5.
