US President Donald Trump has announced sweeping new travel restrictions on Europe in a bid to combat the spread of the coronavirus. But he said the “strong but necessary” restrictions would not apply to the UK, which has 460 cases of the virus. A mining expert, Dr. Christina Odoumah, has called for a repair of the soil at Dunkwa-on-Offin because of the alarming levels of mercury pollution. The Bunkpurgu-Nakpanduri District Education Director, Reverend Francis Kojo Ennuson, has lamented the furniture deficit for pupils in the district. He revealed out of a total of 10,589 pupils enrolled in basic schools, 6,307 representing 59.6 percent lack access to furniture, a situation he said has compelled pupils to study on the bare floor.
