US President Donald Trump has named a new national security adviser to replace John Bolton. Robert O’Brien has had a long career in foreign policy working for both main US parties and currently heads hostage negotiations at the State Department. The Ghana Federation of Disability Organisations is asking government to fulfil commitment it made at the Global Disability Summit in Kenya in July, 2018. The Federation says government, for instance, committed to ensuring that 1.5 percent of the Ministry of Education budget is allocated to inclusive education. But its checks reveal only 0.3 percent has been allocated to that cause. In July 2018, the Global Disability Summit, held for the first time, was aimed at galvanising global effort to address disability inclusion in poor countries. Police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder of Nana Kwadwo Afodour, the Asamponhene of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Anumwar Sadat Mohammed, also known as Alhaji, was arrested in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso on Monday, September 16. The Municipal Chief Executive for Gushegu in the Northern Region, Musah Issah, is alleged to have prevented the construction of an 8-kilometer feeder road that joins the Kunayili and Saala communities to the Gushegu township. The Kunayili and Saala communities are two new settlements in Gushegu but residents are cut off from accessing the rest of the Municipality during the rainy season. Iran has been banned by the International Judo Federation after it ordered Saeid Mollaei to pull out of the World Championships in Japan. Defending champion Mollaei ignored calls to withdraw from his match against Russia’s Khasan Khalmurzaev to avoid the prospect of facing Israel’s Sagi Muki later in the tournament.
