Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Champions League after winning the Normalisation Committee’s Special Competition. Kotoko beat Karela United 4-1 on penalties at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi to win the maiden competition. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has rung the changes within some commands of the Ghana Police Service. The changes are to take immediate effect, according to a “restricted” notice sighted by 3news.com. The Chair of the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC), Jean Mensa, on Thursday, June 20 paid a courtesy call on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante-Apeatu. The IG was joined by members of the Police Management Board (POMAB) for the meeting with the EC Chair. Seven persons died instantly in an accident that occurred at Asitey in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality of the Eastern Region on Saturday, June 15. The seven were parishioners of Santa Barbara Catholic Church in Akosombo. They were returning from a funeral at Akim Oda.
