Seven persons are feared dead after a pit collapsed on them in Manso Wassa in the Western Region. The seven are believed to be illegal small-scale miners. The Judicial Committee of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs has unanimously ruled that the enskinment of Alhaji Abuba Nasinmong as Bunkpurgu Na-ba is a violation of the rotation system of the Bunkpurgu skin. The Ghana Education Service (GES) has dismissed reports that it has contracted a foreign firm to design the new school uniforms to be used in junior high schools from the 2019/2020 academic year. It said “it has not imported, neither, has it contracted any individual, locally or internationally to bring in new uniform for the Junior high schools”.
