Special Prosecutor Martin Amidu has filed his first known suit at an Accra high court. In the writ dated March 22, 2019, the Special Prosecutor is suing Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Constituency Mahama Ayariga for abuse of office. The former minister of state is accused of tax evasion in the clearance of three Toyota V8 vehicles. Government has provided a total of 21 mechanised water supply systems to the Ghana Prisons Service to alleviate the challenges faced by the Service in the provision of water for drinking and for the maintenance of personal and environmental hygiene in the prisons all over the country. Black Stars striker Asamoah Gyan has been named in the 29-man provisional squad released by coach Kwesi Appiah on Wednesday, a few hours after he rescinded a decision to retire permanently from the team.
