Burkinabe striker Songne Yacouba struck it late for Asante Kotoko to rescue a point in their penultimate Group C match in the CAF Confederation Cup. A win for Kotoko would have qualified them for the knockout stage of the second-tier club competition on the continent as Nkana FC had beaten ZESCO United 3-0 earlier in the day. Waleed Hamid scored the opener for the Sudanese at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to silence the vociferous home fans. The goal was scored in the first half. The Porcupine Warriors proved their resilience and stopped what was going to be their first…

During a rally, Mr Maduro also blamed Venezuela’s widespread power cuts on “cyber attacks” by the opposition. His remarks came during a day of protests in the country by pro-government and opposition groups. In the capital Caracas, some supporters of Mr Guaidó scuffled with police. Mr Maduro has retained the support of the military and close allies including Russia and China since Mr Guaidó declared himself interim president on 23 January. What is…
It is a hell on earth dating someone who is still stuck in their past. No matter how much you help them get over whichever mess their ex created, they will still go back to them when they come back to apologize. Regardless of how good you are to them, they still assume it could have been better with their ex. When a man or woman has still not gotten over another, they presume no one, apart from the said person, is ever good enough. A chunk of infidelity cases in relationships today can be traced to an unresolved past.…

Some have said the Musicians Union of GHANA (MUSIGHA) is not working as it should. Ras Caleb Appiah Levi, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, has also confirmed to Onua 95.1FM that yes indeed MUSIGHA is not working as it is supposed to be. Ras Levi disclosed that when he was inducted into office in 2016 as the Greater Accra Region Chairman, his predecessor Tic Tac never gave him any handing over notes for him to know the state of the regional branch of the Union. “I met a dormant account with Stanbic Bank. I asked Tic Tac for documents but…
St Augustine’s College will mark a return to the National Science and Maths Quiz after two years of absence. This follows their win of the Central Regional championship on Saturday. Though at par with UPSHS at the end of the first round with WeyGeyHey trailing with 14 points, Augusco jumped to the lead in Round 2 and there seemed to be no stopping them. They won…
General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has taken a swipe at the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, saying his thinking on political party vigilantism being curbed by only the country’s two major parties is too simplistic. He said even the latest exposé on the activities of a quasi-militia group at the seat of government annex, the Christianborg Castle in Osu, “tells you that the president was acting out of insincerity”. He wondered that if the NDC and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had met, for instance, and disbanded their militias, what would have happened to…
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been commended by a former army officer for initiating the process of dialogue between the country’s two major political parties on ending political party vigilantism. But retired Colonel Festus Aboagye, a former Commander of West African multilateral armed forces ECOMOG, says it will not be appropriate for the president to make further comments about the issue let alone “banter” with a chairman of one of the parties involved. Speaking on TV3’s The Key Points on Saturday, Colonel (rtd) Aboagye said the president’s call for the dialogue is enough and the process can take its…
