Controversial artiste Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, known in showbiz as Mzbel, says that regardless of her admiration of the excellent talent and vocal abilities of young female musicians, she notices that they are too cautious. She feels that attitude holds them back from greatness. “…music is like a spirit, you have to let yourself go and allow the song to carry you,” she said Explaining in clearer terms, she cited Ebony as an ideal example of one who went all out and that paid off in the success she chalked within the very short period of time. “It is not…

“…I don’t know why God decides to give us so many lives…” [Rawlings narrating the events of June 4 on its 35th commemoration] Perhaps the exact thoughts of the Former President informed this article. Having had no encounter whatsoever with this ‘defining’ event of our history, as a young inquisitive person I cannot but help muse over what our country could have become if events did not unfold as we know it today. Perhaps the very popular 2006 science fiction thriller ‘Deja Vu’ that featured Hollywood’s most celebrated, Denzel Washington, has had so much influence on me. But as one…
The tackle which forced Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah to leave the pitch 30 minutes into the Champions League final last week has featured as a question in a law exam, it’s been reported. Syrian pages on Facebook circulated images from the General Penal Code exam sat by first-year students at the University of Damascus. The question reads: “Sergio Ramos injured Mohamed Salah in the 2018 European Champions League final. Naturally, Ramos cannot be held to account for this action from a criminal law perspective due to four conditions that make the use of violence justified in sports. State these conditions.”…
Songstress Mzbel seems to have had enough of religious controversies. She has in the recent past expressed disbelief in the Christian Messiah, Jesus Christ, and has described Christianity as idol worshipping. The vocal singer has taken it a step further, describing speaking in tongues as utter nonsense. In a new song, ‘Tongues’, produced by Hydraulix, Mzbel, born Belinda Nana Akua Amoah, begins with a few lines in a strange language – considered tongues. While responding to why she was poking fun at Christians and tongue-speaking, she said: “Tongues itself is play. It is very silly… when you go to church…
“A discourse for the discerning patriot…” Apart from Church and doing some personal soul searching with solemn music on a weekend, nothing arrests my attention more than watching or discussing football. I love the game of football not because it is a popular sport. I admire the game because it feeds the wells of my organizational skills with more tactical approaches. In my wildest of moods during a football game, I sometimes feel like a student in class taking lecture notes. As a young journalist with a wild dream of becoming a best-selling writer someday, I have tried to make…
