South Africa’s embattled President Jacob Zuma has resigned his office with immediate effect. He made the announcement in a televised address to the nation on Wednesday evening. Long-time Zimbabwe opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai has passed away aged 65. Tsvangirai died on Wednesday at a South African hospital, where he was being treated for colon cancer. Nurses and physician assistants at the Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital in the Central Region have decided to stay away from work with immediate effect.
