Political Science Lecturer at the University of Ghana Dr. Alidu Seidu has underscored the need for political parties to put a stop to activities by vigilante groups in Ghana. Residents and traders at central business district of Takoradi have benefited from a free health screening exercise under the ‘How Well Are You?’ campaign by popular gospel musician and physiotherapist Philipa Baafi. The exercise, supported by the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation and the Ministry of Health, saw patrons trooping to the venue as early as 6:00am though it was to start at 8:00am. The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Joseph Boahen Aidoo, has called on cocoa farmers to embrace the Cocoa Hand Pollination programme as a means of increasing their production.
