Gospel diva Joyce Blessing has accused her former management and record label Media Excel Productions of refusing to appreciate veteran musician Jewel Ackah after he featured on a track titled Nyame Eguamaa on her debut album. Narrating the issue on Anigye Mmre, an entertainment talk show on Accra-based Onua 95.1 FM, Joyce Blessing disclosed how generous Jewel Ackah was by singing a part on the song without asking for any money from her. “I was expecting my management then, that is Media Excel Production, to at least call the man and give him something, but that never happened,” she said.…
They, like other religious groups or movements, are identified by what they wear, eat and drink and by how they act. Known for wearing dreadlocks and ardent believers in the use of things nature bestows on mankind, Rastafarians’ way of life is something to behold. Meet them in town and their way of greeting is sublime as they lock fists. Curtesy history, Rastafarianism is said to have been established somewhere around the 1930s in Jamaica. The movement traces its beliefs to specific interpretations in the Holy Bible. Comparable to other religious groupings, which have many sects within it, Rastafarianism is…

The visit among other things was to convince constituents to accept the new Municipal Chief Executive confirmed by assembly members on May 13, 2017. The appointment of Hajia Ayishetu Seidu witnessed fierce resistance including…

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has debunked claims there was no consultation on the proposed new biometric drivers’ license. Chief Executive Officer of DVLA Kwesi Agyeman Busia also refused claims the Authority is going to charge GH¢450 for the new licence. The announcement of a new biometric drivers licence to replace the existing one has generated public uproar. Others, still, cried foul over the alleged cost of the new licence. Mr Agyemang Busia insisted the public…
