A law in France banning the use of unhealthily thin fashion models has come into effect. Models will need to provide a doctor’s certificate attesting to their overall physical health, with special regard to their body mass index (BMI) – a measure of weight in relation to height. The Ministry of Finance says it is reducing remittances charges to 5 per cent. According to the World Bank’s Send Money Africa report, Ghana remained one of the most expensive countries to send remittances to, with over 12 per cent charges on a $200 remittance. A University of Kentucky student in the US has been charged with burglary after crawling through air ducts to steal an exam paper from the tutor’s office. Henry Lynch II’s luck ran out when his tutor, who had been working extremely late, surprised him – and an accomplice – when he came back to his office.
