About 60 per cent of school children in the Kassena Nankana West District of the Upper East Region have benefited from a World Vision International donation of bicycles as their schools are between three to six kilometers from their homes. Ghana’s president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is one of just three African heads of state named in the list of 100 Most Influential Africans of 2017. Zimbabwe’s central bank has ordered that the bank accounts of two top allies of ousted President Robert Mugabe be frozen, the state-owned Herald newspaper reports.
